Detail-oriented, Steve is a meticulous planner whose professional focus can be summed up in three distinct areas:

  • Educating and inspiring clients to take positive action;
  • Relieving the client of the burden of financial and legacy planning; and
  • Commitment to delivering extraordinary outcomes while always placing the client’s needs above all else.

A coach, leader and mentor, Steve is a retired Army Special Forces officer with 20 years of active-duty service and is humbled to have served and worked alongside some of the most talented special operators on the planet. Steve is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, and earned a master’s degree in defense analysis, with a specialty track in financial management, from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA.

While he learned countless lessons from his successful military and business careers, Steve decided to pursue his true passion, financial advising. He began his pivot toward the wealth management industry in 2016 when enrolling in the North Carolina State University’s CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Certification (CFP®) Education Program. In November 2018, he passed the CFP® Board Exam, and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.

Steve is married to Susanne, from Stockholm, Sweden. They have two children: Rebecca, who works in investment banking in Manhattan, and Matthew, who attends the United States Military Academy at West Point. In his spare time, Steve enjoys hiking, gardening, barbequing, sports and anything lacrosse. He is actively involved with the game of lacrosse, most recently as a high school varsity coach and Army West Point lacrosse camp mentor and now as a referee.
